Decisions will shape the ultimate outcome of the story and the fate of the world-will you save or exploit the power of a dying god? In Total War: Warhammer III‘s campaign mode, players will journey across the hellish Chaos Realm, battling legendary heroes, gargantuan monsters, and hordes of foes in grand-scale strategy battles. Please note that it has been a while since I have completed a chaos campaign so apologies if any info i give is outdated.Total War: Warhammer III – Creative Assembly The fact that you are killing enemies of the Varg/Skaeling will mean that they will be more likely to ally with you and (eventually) assist in the destruction of the south. Turning your immediate attention southwards seems to be a safer option. As such, I have had chaos campaigns where 100 turns have passed and i am still stuck in Norsca playing whack-a-mole against seceding norscan vassals. Fair warning the Norscan tribes can be somewhat contrary and are subject to turning on you at a whim. Unite Norsca and build a power base or ignore it and start the end times rampage. You have two options right from the get-go. That said, if you are still dead set on giving it a go then by all means have at it. So many little quality of life additions to the campaign (Fleshed Norsca, Horde attrition, Skill trees, RoR's.) that will meaningfully affect it. I've not tried a Chaos campaign since before ME landed but I believe common consensus on the subject is that you may be better off delaying starting a new Chaos campaign until the foundation update is applied.
